Since my kidney transplant, the cost of medication has become a great concern to me. I receive Social Security and I’m disabled. When I went to dialysis, I always heard about rejection medications. Now since the transplant, I no longer have support from other foundations and my employer has changed to providers with copayments. It’s hard to live with the tiny disability checks I receive. The Transplant Coordinators and Social Worker have enrolled me in the HealthWell program and have lifted a lot of the worry off me. I was concerned about the medications and supporting the new kidney. HealthWell has made it possible to receive the medications needed to take care of the new kidney.
