HWF Direct, LLC – Cause for Celebration

Late last year, we were thrilled to announce the launch of HWF Direct, LLC, HealthWell Foundation’s dedicated contact center. In June, we hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the contact center and the more than 70 jobs it brings to Frederick County, Maryland.

The team welcomed distinguished guests from federal, state, and local government, including Maryland State Delegate Karen Lewis Young; Maryland Department of Disabilities Secretary Carol Beatty; Department of Commerce, Office of Business Retention, Expansion & Strategic Rural Development Director, William Sorenson; Maryland State Treasurer Nancy Kopp; Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner; Frederick County Chamber of Commerce Member Relations Manager Michael Kurtianyk; and Nan S. Mann, Community Relations Representative for U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen. We were also honored to have our esteemed Board of Directors, other local dignitaries, and our corporate and contact center teams join in the celebration.

The HealthWell Foundation was honored to be recognized for its mission and for the services it provides to underinsured Americans, and was pleased to receive four citations and two proclamations from Maryland community leaders and elected officials.

“I am proud HealthWell has chosen Frederick to be home,” stated Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner. “HealthWell is a financial lifeline for many Marylanders and Americans facing tremendous health challenges and I’m thankful for the work HealthWell is doing to support patients and connect them with needed funds to support recovery. The new contact center brings great jobs to Frederick County and fits well into our caring community. I look forward to all the good work that will continue to happen at HWF Direct.”
