b'Dear HealthWell Foundation and Supporters, I am a 24-year-old recentgraduate and have Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (a rare, ANCA-associated vasculitis). I had relocated to New York and was about to begin my first job. Unfortunately, after two years of stable remission, I began to suffer a relapse about two months ago. Instead of beginning my new life in the Northeast, I had to return to Texas where I was admitted to St. Lukes Hospital in Houston, leaving behind my employment prospects and hope for an independent future. I recently began a three-year treatment to suppress my autoimmune disease. Aside from my obvious health concerns, my greatest worry has been placing my parents deeper in debt due to my health issues, treatments and hospital visits. Receiving the grant from HealthWell Foundation is an immense blessing to me and my family and has been a tremendous help to us. The difficulties navigating life and work with a chronic illness are stressful and unpredictable to say the least. During a time when my hope of work has been interrupted and my parents simply cannot afford all my health expenses, this grant relieves a great deal of that stress. We are so grateful! Thank you for your kindness and generosity and all the aid you provide to those in need. With deep appreciation for your support.Laura P.Beaumont, TX ANCA-Associated Vasculitis, Wegeners and Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis Fund'
