b'Dear HealthWell Foundation, the breast cancer was a shock! But I think a positiveattitude is half the battle. Self-pity will only drag you down and everyone around you, too! We are self-employed and insurance is so expensive. To find a premium we could afford we have a $5,500 deductible, so we had to dig to come up with that. In January, it starts all over again, so mammograms, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and lab work are all out-of-pocket. When I found out the cost of my medication, I was scared. My oncologist said the cancer could come back. My patient advocate gave me a list of several foundations to contact, which I did. The first turned me down because they said we went $50 over on salary! The second turned me down because I had a deductible. Then I heard from HealthWell. We couldnt believe we had found help. We just had to cry. I am so thankful. Every time I have my prescription filled it still amazes me. Not many good things have happened to us. I can see why Forbes recognized your charity - 100% direct aid to needy. My prayer is that all the great people who support HealthWell realize just how precious they are and continue to donate. I wish I could personally thank each one. I wish I could donate more but we do our best. We have two grandsonsone is five and the other was born this last March. I am so happy to be here to enjoy them! It was two years in May since my diagnosis and I am still cancer-free. Again, I want to thank everyone involved with HealthWell. Maybe one day cancer will be gone and we wont need this help.Linda M.Powell, TNBreast CancerMedicare Access Fund'
