HealthWell Pediatric Assistance Fund

Because no child should ever be turned away.

When a child is diagnosed with a chronic condition—like leukemia—their families not only face anguish and fear but many also struggle to pay their share of the medical bills. For working families with inadequate insurance, treating childhood illnesses may mean hundreds or thousands of dollars a month in out-of-pocket costs. Families can be left to choose between buying their child’s medication or paying the mortgage, or can sink quickly into bankruptcy.

In response to growing demand from families in need, we created the Pediatric Assistance Fund so that children like four-year-old Naeemah, living with leukemia; three-year-old Calleigh, diagnosed with Choriod Plexus Carcinoma; and thirteen-year-old Kyle, bravely fighting Burkitt's Lymphoma, can get the medical treatments they need to lead healthier lives.

Their families called us for help, but without funding for these specific conditions, we had to turn them away. This happens every day, and it’s only getting worse.

Your financial support will change this.

We are in desperate need of donations for our Pediatric Assistance Fund to serve children who have insurance but still can’t afford the copayment for their medical treatments and whose diagnoses are currently not covered through our program.

The HealthWell Pediatric Assistance Fund® provides copayment assistance to help children start, or continue, critical medical treatments regardless of disease type or condition. Your tax-deductible gift will enable children living with chronic and life-altering conditions to receive the medicine they so desperately need. Please give today.
